(no subject)
I figured that I'd better update this thing, as I haven't really had a chance in a while. I'm presently working at the local library as a page (on of those people who's primary task is shelve books) and pushing the carts around takes a lot of me and my flabby muscles. It's rewarding though and I can steal glances at the books I'm shelving. Plus it pays.
Been busy, life keeps on throwing stuff at me and at least it hasn't been a lot of lemons (all though in the fandom sense that might be nice). The moving stuff is going reallllllllllly slow. But I'm going to be going up north this fall. So is my little brother. Very conflicted on that issue, but over all I think it will do him good. Me on the other hand... I might be hard pressed not to cause major bodily damage to someone. Probably going to channel some of it into to writing.
And thus we come to the rest of my post.
The scene I have planned out for 38 just isn't working. I've tried to beat the characters into submission, but the moment I begin to type, I stop and the cursor goes back to start, the page tauntingly empty. Ryou and his yami... well their part in all this has changed so many times it isn't funny. And sadly I think they've been the most cooperative of the bunch.
I've been working on WotM for what is it, three years now? I think about it everyday, wrestle with turning problems over in my mind, trying to resolve them. Often with little success. Every now and then I have a burst of raw inspiration, and mange to bang into the computer all but a few hundred words, but such times are rare. My interest in it waxes and wanes, and sometimes I'll take a busman's holiday, and write something else in an attempt to jump start it.
(That's how WotC came about by the way, I just forgot that I didn't want to commit myself to another project.)
Now watch me go and a quarter of the next chapter (WotM). /sigh
