Despite the fact that I, a female of 24 years of age, have been doing this for 12 years now....
I cannot manage to carry tampons to the bathroom in a cool or subtle way.
I'm sure that no one else in my office is aware of this. It probably stems from the time in eighth grade when I went to use the restroom during math class, and my friend Megan yelled out, "Why are you taking your backpack?....Ohhhh, you're on the rag." But I am now convinced that when I leave the office to pee, everyone knows I'm taking that little plug with me, even if they don't usually register my exit the other three weeks out of the month.
I forget to wear clothes with pockets. I make the wrapper rustle too loudly when taking it out of my purse. I can't actually take the purse with me, because Megan will jump out from behind the potted plant by my desk and advertise my shame once more.
And suddenly, I'm 13 again.
