initially, sarah's desk and my desk used to be under our respective beds, facing the wall with our chairs out in the middle of the room. we re-situated them so her bookcase was at one end of her bed and her desk was at the other end, so she was able to look out towards our door and the rest of the room. my desk is diagonal from her's, so it faces outside by the window.
our room isn't on the front side of the building, where we'd be able to see other buildings and have the sun bursting through the windows.
we're on the top floor, at perfect eye-level with the groups of trees outside our window. right now it's a little after nine (i don't know how i woke up a half an hour ago... although i keep my alarm clock on my desk so i have to climb down the side of the bed to turn it off.. and it's such a pain getting down that i don't even bother going back up into bed...) and the sun is out but i can't see it. just feeling the fresh air breeze in and looking at the beautiful trees.
this view is made for season changes.
good morning.
