okay. i love college. and it hasn't even officially started yet.
and this is why.
1) i sat and watched "chicago" with three people that i hadn't met until today or yesterday, and it was like we had known each other for much longer than that.
2) we keep our door open all of the time when we're in here, and since we're the first on the floor and have the different, cool room, people are always stopping in and checking it out. it's a great way to meet people. these two cute sophomores, ben and joel, stopped in a little while ago... ben was wearing a huge sombrero. they live downstairs on the fifth floor. this will be very convenient.
3) there was a tornado warning so we had to go down to the fifth floor. sarah and i were just popping popcorn so we got a bowl and took it down with us, passing it out to whoever wanted it. it made us pretty popular.
4) i walked jeff down to the bus stop after the movie was over, and afterwards i walked over to the west side of holmes to use the atm... i'm having sort of a "i need to buy books and i have no cash" crisis... but the atm didn't work, so i walk all the way back and get on the elevator. when i get out i see all of these guys and girls in the elevator lobby with squirt guns, and it seemed like they were about to get me but then one of the girls was like "oh no wait don't get her we like her!" and it turned out to be our neighbor across the hall brenna. and then some other girls were like "yeah she's nice we like her". so i was happy. and this one guy i saw earlier by our room was there and he says "yeah... hey yeah stefanie, how are you doing stefanie?!" so he remembered my name ( he seems to be of the fun-loving-abercrombie-jock variety, not to do any assuming) and i told them that they could shoot me because it was so hot in the dorm anyway, so they squirted me a little and then i went back to my room. but i love that people already know me and have a good impression.
5) it's 1:21 in the morning and we still have our lights on, playing music, watching television, and our door is still wide open.
