had a lovely lunch with ty at cosi's... we talked about our prom nights and lazy thus-far summers... it was really nice. after i dropped her off at her car i met my mom to go to somerset because she felt like going on a shopping spree... apparently because she's been having a bad week. i'll just say she was very generous and on the brink of insanity... but i explained to her at p.f. changs that it's not like she has another daughter to splurge on... i figured that was the best reasoning possible.

afterwards i stopped at ilyse's because she's leaving me on saturday. i had to help her justify bringing over eight pairs of shoes to new york... well i mean she's going to be there for five weeks... and we came to a wonderful understanding. there is a difference between being spoiled and being a spoiled brat... this realization helped me justify my entire day.
