last night was a spaghetti dinner/ice cream outing/blockbuster night... just a good old night in. i drove out to ally's mom's house in ortonville and we had a food fest and rented a couple movies... "the hot chick", "all i wanna do", and "love story". we started with "the hot chick", and it was actually a really cute movie. i never thought i would like it as much as i did. but some of the parts were just so funny... and there was a scene that was the cutest thing i've ever seen... with the cutest song. it reminded me of the mtv commercial with the guy throwing stones at the girl's window, and then he goes home on his bike all discouraged because he didn't see her but then it shows her throwing stones at his window... all the while "destiny" by zero 7 is playing in the background... it's just the sweetest thing i've seen in awhile.
then we watched "love story"... and i fell in love with it. seriously, shot right up into the top ten, the very exclusive club where "french kiss", "when harry met sally...", "sixteen candles", "casablanca", and "high fidelity" have been sitting, collecting dust... such an amazing movie... and of course i cried at the end. i just couldn't get over the ease in which jenny and oliver talked to each other, just the mild insults shooting back and forth. and the scene with them in the snow was so sweet. i absolutely adored it.
this is the song that they played during the cute scene in "the hot chick"... honestly, it's worth renting the movie again just to watch that part...
