so my dad's uncle died this week (my great uncle)
and his funeral was this morning.
ugh.
fucking awful. funerals are so surreal.
it my first time, since we were family, of like..going to the funeral home..seeing the body...driving in the parade of funeral cars to the church and cemetary....it was so depressing.
open caskets scare the fucking shit out of me.
the worst thing for me is that..i basically didnt even know him.
I guess there was some disagreement in teh family and him and his wife kind of distanced themselves...
although he never had any problem with my dad or his siblings..he just distanced himself
its amazing how sad it is that sometimes the only way to bring people together is death

it was my dad's first time driving in Boston...
we got lost for 2 hours. what a nightmare
we stopped and asked about 8 people for directions and got 2 people to DRAW US MAPS.
the ceremony at Emmanuel started at 2:30, we got there at 3:30 LOL
well, I'm going back there on Saturday the 31rst with steph for the Open House for accepted students
we're going to tour the school and the whole city
so it sounds like a really good time
cant waittt =)

Seeing as college is so soon...I've realized that Im going to be needing a new camera
to bring with me because well..I cant take my dad's Canon (sadly)
and well..ive always wanted a smaller compact camera that I can take to concerts, etc
so I was thinking about buying this
Olympus Stylus 770 SW
its got 7.1 megapixels which is even better than the camera ive got now
and the best part...
ITS INDESTRUCTABLE.
it can take pictures underwater (which i am SO excited about)
its snowproof/rainproof
can be dropped like 5 feet on concrete
can have 200 pounds of pressure sit on it
and can even go in freezing temperatures (like if you go skiing , etc)
big problem : the cheapest i can find it for is $350 LOL
but uhm..on ebay i found a camera store thats selling this package
which includes the camera, a bag, a huge memory card , and extra lithium batter, etc
and with shipping comes out to like $395
but its such a deal because it would cost be like 450 to buy the extra battery, memory card, etc seperately
lol so yeah...i gotsta save my paychecks up for that.
i just got a 100 dollar paycheck from last week though
and I'm babysitting today from 4 till like 10
so that'll be atleast 60ish bucks
almost halfway there lol.
oh , and i need to buy a pair of skis.
and snowboarding boots.
and...all the extra shit for when i get my macbook.
