This better all be worth it in the end because this is the mother of all sore throats. My hanging ball thingy is still swollen from the ventilator; if it weren't for that I'd think I'd feel a little better. My parents are convinced that my throat is healing though, so we'll see. If I'm not better by the two week mark since the surgery, I'm gonna pitch a fit. At the very least, I just want to be able to swallow like a normal person, then I can eat the foods that I've been craving all week long. Like cinnamon sugar toast, mmmm. And cinnabons. Oooh, and those little personal pan pizzas from Pizza Hut *drooool*
My sleep cycle has been seriously f-ed up as well. The pain medicine wears off every three hours, so my nights consist of dozing for a bit, watching a lot of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and taking pain medicine. On the bright side of that, I've been able to watch Third Watch at 6am. God I miss that show. This early morning was interesting because I took my meds at 5am, and some cartoon came on Nick that I didn't like, so I switched it to PBS to watch Sesame Street. Wasn't a bad episode either, of course seeing Cookie Monster also makes me smile. I learned a little sign language, which given my current condition, is probably not a bad idea...well if my parents knew what I was trying to say anyway. Also, I swear I think Ernie has lost weight since the late 1980s. He just seems skinnier than I remember.
I also can't wait to feel better so I can play with Wilson. It breaks my heart to see him so bored around the house, but then again it's so entertaining when he tries to play by himself so he pounces on anything, including Creek. Now he just ate a few crumbs of Tostitos that was in my mom's lap. All she did was look at him as he chomped away, lol. He's so cute.
Anywho, I think it's time for some chocolate ice cream. Take care all!
