People who neglect their dogs by leaving them chained to a post all day should be tortured slowly and then thrown to the wolves-grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Myself and 3 neighbors just rescued a very filthy, skinny puppy next door who had been howling and moaning.It was bad enough that neighbors on all sides had come out to see what was going on.
It had nearly strangled itself on its chain (wrapped around the porch post so tightly it was digging in to her skin,she couldn't move at all,we had to cut through the chain to free her)and had a bloody/probably broken leg,smelled strongly of urine and had fleas.
And no owner in sight.
Took her back to my house to call animal welfare/the cops. Gave her some food and water,which she devoured.
The owner came along shortly after, acting like a Jerry Springer guest, more concerned that we took her "property" than her dog almost dying. We wouldn't give the dog back until the police got there. And since nobody could get the Animal Control officer on the phone ,the police officer had to give the dog back to them ,explaining that the Animal Control officer would be following up with them shortly.Right.
I have lost all faith in f@$king justice.
Can't get the image of that poor scared dog out of my head.
