I'm still undecided whether I should go to JIBCon 8 next year. Did I mention the crazily expensive ticket? On the other hand, I could (and would need to!) treat it as a once in a lifetime thing. I don't know. Is anyone else going? I have till Saturday to decide.
I started watching Grimm, I bought the first season a while ago on one of the England trips. I like it (and the American accents somewhat cover the occasionally truly awful "German" names of the supernatural thingies ;-) ), so I bought seasons 2 - 4 on Amazon.uk. Before I have to pay import tax after the Brexit. The package arrived really quickly - unfortunately I wasn't home, of course, and Hermes is making it unnecessarily hard to reroute it to the gas station two minutes from my house.
Differences about the use of the a/c at the office escalated today. Front and center: guy I recently told you about, who claims he has the hottest workplace in the whole company. Last year one of the a/c units got moved right over his head and he's since been treating it like his own personal unit that he can turn on whenever and set to any temperature he pleases, since it's not working on full force anyway. Which is true, according to the maintenance guys who changed all filters last week. I still doubt that warranted setting it to 16° C (61° F). Predictably, other people in the office were not amused. It all ended with the guy threatening to quit his job and taking the rest of the day off (or the rest of the week, I'm not sure), and me wondering whether he maybe has other serious problems. Because nobody who's mentally sane should get that worked up over the a/c.
