So sister and me are doing the three days trip to the UK! :-) We're leaving Thursday evening, will take the ferry on Friday morning and stay in Canterbury for two nights. We'll try to cram as much sightseeing and shopping in as we can. I put our route up on Blablacar (a car sharing site) and for now it seems we'll have two other girls as company - and pitching in with the gas money - for the first two hours. The second one asked to take her chihuahua, though, I'm not sure what to think of that yet.

A friend of mine wants a tattoo (her first), and once again I'm thinking what design I should get next. I want a tattoo that represents fandom, ideally something that connects the different fandoms I've been a part of so far and leaves room to add more. So far I've come up with

• some kind of vine coiling around or creeping down my arm with little tendrils holding symbols that I think represent my fandoms (like a lightening bolt, "J2", a little pentagram, musical notes)
• an open book on my shoulder blade that loses pages down my arm, and the pages have little symbols... (see above)
• an open book on my shoulder blade that loses letters down my arm plus little symbols... (see above)

I'm also thinking about a little fox and a little owl sitting side by side, which is an insider thing with my friends. It's just that sometimes I feel like I'm not really a part of them because I have a completely different opinion on things they agree on. And I do actually feel rather indifferent towards foxes.
