My mom's been invited to a henna ceremony (or henna night?) by her Turkish cleaning lady, and she asked me if I wanted to go, too. I don't know yet. I'd have to leave work early and remember to put everything I need for the weekend in my car in the morning and don't forget to feed the hamsters (I have my sister's hamster here as well while she's in Spain). Basically, yes, stuff like that stresses me. ;) On the other hand it would be a unique peek into another culture that I rarely get. And I do love Turkish food.

Last Saturday half of a couple of gay boys was on my train, maybe 15 or 16 years old. They shared a lot of goodbye kisses before the train came. It made me happy because you probably wouldn't have seen that when I was that age.

Today for Ascension Day and/or Father's Day, people traditionally go hiking or cycling. I walked about 6 kilometers to the next town, then decided that was enough and took the train back home. This does not bode well for doing 150 kilometers soon.

stuff, vacation, walking
