Oh boy. How do you let someone down gently? There's this guy who I'm sort of working with (he's in a different department but we occasionally deal with each other). According to his two coworkers he has a crush on me, and since it's the second time I heard that rumor, I'm inclined to believe it. They claim he's too shy to ask me out but would I please have dinner with him so they won't have to deal with him pining anymore. And he's an ok guy. But. I don't see us together - not even as friends if I'm honest. So I'm not sure what to do with this now. This doesn't usually happen to me.
I couldn't think of a good April fools joke yesterday, so have a strange anecdote instead.
Close to my workplace someone put a large sign up in a tree: "Help! I am 40 years old. My mentally ill neighbor wants to kill me." And rather small in the corner it's signed: "The walnut tree". I have no idea...
For spnspringfling I wrote A Stargazer Am I. I was so overwhelmed by the feedback that I got. I like the story, but personally I thought I'd written better ones before so having so many people like it was a nice surprise.
