I'm starting to lose faith in humanity. Early this morning there was a fire in my old school. Police suspect arson since they found a window that had been smashed.
Then someone scratched up my car. There are some smaller scratches and one really big one in the driver's side door. Unfortunately I can't pinpoint when it happened. My mom noticed it when I visited them over the weekend, but it could have been there before. I'd like to blame my American neighbor for it (the one who threatened to sue me because I used her parking space), but she'd have to squeeze in between the wall of the garage and the car to do it. Even I occasionally scramble over the middle console to exit via the passenger side door.
But then I received my naked calendar from the Warwick Rowers (by selling the calendar they're raising money for fighting homophobia, in case you'd like to get one). It'll be a worthy successor to Bilbao's naked firefighters that my sister gave me three years ago - best birthday present ever.
At work, people bring food when it's their birthday, and I've been thinking about what I should bring this year. I like to make Peruvian food because it's delicious and people usually like it, it being something different than what they're used to. I'd like to make ceviche - raw marinaded fish. I'm a little worried, though, that I'll give my whole department food poisoning if I don't get it right.
