I still haven't gotten used to the new SPN schedule yet. I come home every Thursday and am happily surprised that there's a new episode up. Although I didn't watch today's yet, because I'm so tired. I'd fall asleep on the spot if I got comfortable on the couch.
My company is considering getting a so-called "job ticket" for the local public transport. Your employer pays a certain fee, and then you can get a monthly ticket for a reduced price. You can even take four other people along for free after 7 pm and for the whole weekend. Of course there's a catch: the employer has to pay for each of their employees, regardless whether they use the ticket or not. My theory is that nobody is supposed to actually use that offer... I'm hoping we do get it. I have a ticket but I'm paying more than twice as much per month than I would for the job ticket.
My favorite radio station has their annual listeners' charts this week. I love it because for a week I get to listen to songs that
- I didn't hear twice already yesterday, and the day before, and the day before,... since naturally, each song is in the charts just once.
- you rarely hear on the radio anymore due to being more than 15 minutes long (particularly those of Pink Floyd). Playing the first 950 songs usually takes around four days, and then it's a full one to cram in the last 150 because they're all so long.
- are so much better than most of the monotonous stuff you get to hear today. Mostly. For a few songs they played today, I wondered how that could end up higher than Brain Damage, which I heard when I got up this morning.
It's not a good week if you're not a fan of Michael Jackson, Queen, and/or The Beatles. Or Led Zeppelin, because Stairway to Heaven is always number 1. It got one of my five votes, too. Not because I necessarily like it so much, but because it's tradition, and because otherwise, Queen might take the top position with Bohemian Rhapsody, which is always number 2. I heard once there was a British radio station where it's the other way around.
