In true tradition of Sunday cooking, I've got chicken stock boiling right now. An actual whole chicken and vegetables cooking slowly for two hours, no cubes or powder. I've never made it like that from scratch, so wish me luck. I need it for making
Carapulcra. The last time I was in Peru, I dragged back two kilos of dried potatoes for that.
ETA: The carapulcra turned out good. I guess the rice will have to neutralize the chili, though...
Friday my sister, her boyfriend and me went to see Maximo Park in concert. Cost me a grand total of 12 Euros, and half of that for the train ticket. It was in Karlsruhe, at a festival that used to be completely free of charge. A year or so ago they started to sell tickets, but they're cheap. It was really nice, the stage is at the bottom of a small hill so you can see it well no matter where you're standing - and who's standing in front of you. And the singer is worth looking at... We were also incredibly lucky with the weather. It had been raining almost the whole morning and afternoon but stopped in the evening.
Coming up is me bitching about German commercials on tv, so it makes no sense to translate that.
Perwoll mit Re-new White Effect,
Sagrotan Power and Pure,
