Nine loves

  1. My family and my baby sister

  2. Peru and its people

  3. The hogar and (most of) the kids going there. I can't with a good conscience say "all" because some drive me crazy but almost all.
  4. Chocolate!

  5. My dishwasher. Seems silly, I know, but trust me: without it my kitchen would look like a crockery bomb had gone off, overflowing with dirty dishes that I'll clean tomorrow. Or the day after. Or the day after. I was a frequent user of the "to clean later" shelf we had at my student dorm.

  6. The internet, home of so much knowledge and way more people from way more distant countries that I would normally have gotten to know. And I'm not only talking about you guys, I've met lots of online - and later real life - friends in chat rooms.

  7. Fandom. Often crazy, sometimes truly sad but overall entertaining and exciting. I don't know what I'd do without it.

  8. My hair, one of the things I truly love about myself.

  9. The beach. I love walking along the beach in the shallow water, I would love living on a beach and listen to the waves through the open window when I falls asleep. Strangely enough, I hate swimming in the ocean. It's so big and wide and dark and deep; that scares me./LI>

On Friday I drove to Munich with franzi1981, mabiana and saba1789 to meet up with _bettina_ and see Take That in concert. It was great, I enjoyed it a lot. And I apparently remember enough of the early days songs to still sing along. I cannot remember where I put my damn headphones last week. I'm sure there's a scientific explanation for that phenomenon. They also had a nice, and occasionally creepy, show to go with the songs. Although personally I'm happiest if a band just goes on stage and performs.

On Saturday, while the others went on a guided city tour and to the Deutsches Museum respectively, I met up with my former roommate who lives in Munich (she's originally from that area). We went to a café and both had the "hussy breakfast", which consisted of half a pack of salmon, bread, butter, cream cheese, jam, two fried eggs, and joghurt with fruit. It barely fit on the table. And we talked for almost three hours. I hadn't realized how much I'd missed her.

On Sunday mabiana and me went to the Deutsches Museum as well. I'll definitely have to go there again, especially when the amateur astronomy section is open again. Maybe I'll find the time to visit former roommate. Then I drove home again, minus franzi1981 this time, who stayed a bit longer. Traffic was awful - there was rarely a complete standstill, but I had to slow down to a crawl a lot. Still, a very nice trip, I'd say.

I'm down another zucchini! It's in a casserole along with pasta and some ham that also had to be eaten. Next, two people suggested zucchini bread so I'm gonna try that.
