Tonight's nest was more comfortable than yesterday, at least I sat leaning against the wall with the laptop on my knees instead of stretched out on the floor. This was my last night in my old room but I don't have a bed anymore. I could have, of course, slept in the new apartment which does have my bed, and also heating. What it does not have, however, is a kitchen or internet. So I'm literally camping out here till I absolutely have to leave. Then the internet-less time will begin, and I don't know how long it'll be. I do have hope, though; I called the hotline of the cable provider, and since I assume they want me as a customer, they need to send someone over to exchange my current tv socket for a "multi-media" socket.

Fortunately my parents have internet, so guess where I'll be on weekends? And the spn_themes post should be fine, too. I already know my theme, although I should go see that nobody's done that one lately. And I'm going through all the Big Bang stories, saving anything that sounds interesting and that I haven't read yet; I don't need to worry about getting bored.

Especially since the new apartment is not finished yet. There's still a few walls to paint, even without the kitchen (I want to do at least one kitchen wall in some color, but that depends on the color of the future kitchen counters). I'll do a week's worth of happy dancing once everything's finished. And once all the buckets with paint and rollers and tools are finally gone. Because my dad claims that he never knows which one of the five gazillion tools he needs for whatever he wants to do, he just brings everything. On my quest for a pair of scissors today, I discovered three drilling machines. And exactly one pair of scissors.

internet, life
