I wrote all of one entry this month so far? Wow. Must be because there's not much going on in my life. Work is the same old and getting a bit boring at the moment. To distract myself I occasionally clean up my office. I switched with my colleague who did my job before me (while he's back to technical drawing again) and who is a fine example of a typical male hunter-gatherer type. The things that are lying around in that office. Today I found a whole stack of outdated manuals from 2004 (all for the same type of machine, mind you). What did he want do do with them? Wait till the next 2004 rolls around? On the positive side, I'll probably never run out of scratch paper.

So, I spent last Saturday at saba1789's place to celebrate her birthday. You know, after I'd called the police because on the train to Mannheim I saw someone lying a bit away from the rails a couple hundred meters before the train station in Heidelberg. Excitement! I'd never before called the police about anything. I don't know what became of the guy (I think it was a guy, but it went by so fast), but there's nothing in the police reports, so I guess it wasn't anything serious, or he was gone by the time they got to the place.

Had fun at Saba's. Ate nice food, played Taboo, watched Supernatural. However, no offense girls, but hanging out with people who actually watch music television always makes me realize how much I do not like today's music. At all. And no gay American Idol winner (or second or whatever, I don't even know) will change that. It makes me dream of the good old times when MTV had Kristiane Backer trying to speak English and showed November Rain and the Foo Fighters.

Also, talking of the good old times; when I was younger one of our tv networks used to have a miniseries each Christmas (and possibly Easter). There was one that I really liked (apparently from 1988, when I was eight; I can't remember anything from that year but the series, although I might have possibly caught a rerun a couple years later), Nonni and Manni. It's about two brothers living on (in) Iceland. In the last episode a volcano breaks out. I found that fascinating back then. Of course I did not know about the dangers of ash clouds then.

Is there any other podfic archive for Supernatural and J² fiction than this site? I am addicted to podfic at the moment, but I'm running out of thing that I haven't listened to five times already.

music, stuff, work
