This post is not only an unsubtle way to use my new icon.
Okay, it mostly is. It's from
Queen Millenia, which was my absolutely favorite anime as a child. Although back then they weren't called anime, just cartoons like all the rest of the drawn series. Good times, when those were still produced for entertainment, not for selling the accompanying card game. I'm impatiently waiting for the DVDs for Queen Millenia (just like for
Sailor Moon); meanwhile, my sister scored avis a few years ago. But I'm afraid to watch them, or I might realize that the series wasn't so great after all. I actually do have the
Defenders of the Earth DVDs, but I'm afraid that my memory makes it a lot better than it actually was.
Other cartoons I loved (just for the sake of completion):
Ghostbusters (not to be mixed up with
The Real Ghostbusters)
Saber Rider and the Star SherrifsGalaxy RangersHe-Man and the Masters of the Universe (loved playing with the figures, and I loved the movie, too; Robert Duncan McNeil and Cortney Cox when they were so young!)
She-RaBraveStarrMila Superstar (that, for some reason, is called "Attack No. 1" in English...)
Georgie (my sister has the DVDs, I need to borrow them)
Princess SaraLittle Women Uh, I certainly watched a lot of tv back then, didn't I?
I listened to the BBC audio books of His Dark Materials today. I liked it, particularly the voice of Lyra, but especially in the last one I felt like either they left a lot out or the one who made the file accidentally left a lot out. Anyway, it reminded me that I should re-read the books. Maybe in English this time. I love them. Where else do you find gay angels?
