Happy (slightly belated) Birthday, rikes and ihearthings_ii! I hope both of you had a great day!
Speaking of birthdays, yesterday I took out my old diary of 2008 and started copying the birthdays to the new one of 2009 and I noticed that I've missed quite a few. One was a friend of mine who's probably my best online friend outside of LJ. :(
Staying with the birthday theme, my parents were invited to one and I wasn't, so yay, experimental cooking! I wanted to make a recipe that milenaa had posted (lentil stew) only with chickpeas and without the shrimp. I ended up leaving out a lot of other stuff, too, and putting in other spices, and also I didn't bake it in the oven but cooked it on the stove and I pureed the chickpeas. Now we don't have any curry left (except in the cellar, maybe), but I think it tastes very good.
I have another job interview tomorrow with the same company where I was last Friday. They liked me, and apparently I did good in the test I had to do there, too. Only this time it'll be in their office in Karlsruhe, so I don't have to travel to Munich. It'd be a good job, too, a lot of variety and a lot to learn. Only not really in the place where I want to live, and limited to 18 months With the option of renewing the contract, though, they just said that with the current economy, nobody knows how much work they have in 18 months. Wish me luck.
