I saw the final two hours of the Oscars last night. Congratulations to Austria! The Oscars always reminds me how me and my friend used to watch it together. Okay, we did twice. And every time the audience was shown she'd ask me, "Who's that?" and I'd say, "That's Cate Blanchet. That's Will Smith's wife." I also remember the night of 2004 when I was late for my internship because I had to see if Lord of the Rings 3 would win the best movie award (it did). However, watching the Oscars is also very wearisome. I'm not used to this many commercial breaks, and because on German tv networks aren't allowed to show so many commercials in general, every break is filled with the same announcement of the sponsor and previews for shows, movies, etc.

It was sad seeing Heath Ledger in the In Memoriam part, but - I don't know if that was intentional or if he was simply the most recent death - it was nice, in a way, to have him at the end.

Because of staying up tonight I was dead tired by noon and had to catch up on some sleep. I probably shouldn't have gotten up, because
1) right after I rolled over my own toes with my desk chair (yeah, I don't know how that's even possible, either),
2) I thought I should go out to wake up again and hey, I was running out of bottled water anyway, and on the way back from the store, the package burst on the back of my bike and the bottles rolled onto the street (where thankfully, no car was driving at that moment, or I might have caused an accident),
3) My poor finger got caught between the bottles (now in a cotton bag) and the stairrail when I rested them there while I opened the letterbox,
4) I stumbled on the stairs.

Hee, so in the German dubbing of Hell House, Sam did touch that line (when Dean says that he's got barely enough skin left on his palm) and suggested that Dean just use his other hand.

After Supernatural, there's Eureka on tv, and I don't know... It sounds interesting, but I fear it'll share the fate of so many other shows like it and get cancelled after four weeks, so I'm reluctant to start watching.

life, supernatural, tv
