I finally caught up with all the Big Bang stories from last year. Would you believe there were some that I hadn't read yet? Still haven't, I saved a few for Peru. There was one, however, that I read yesterday, and that I still can't stop thinking about. In the good way.
I watched Doctor Who yesterday, and quite liked it. There were two episodes, and so far it reminds me a little of Farscape. A little cracked out - the last human being a flat plane of skin? a lava puddle (yeah, I know it wasn't lava) that controls plastic? Living wood? - but nice. Even if there were some... odd parts. Like when Rose finds out that her boyfriend is probably dead and she's more or less "oh fuck" but then carries on like it's not a big deal. Or that she doesn't notice anything wrong with his plastic self in the first place. Overall it was good, however, I'll keep watching. Rose is cute, and hey, any show that refers to Toxic as an "old folk song" (in the English original it's apparently a "traditional ballad") is great!
