If you've heard the concerns floating around today about the LJ staff layoffs that happened in their San Francisco office, this press release seems to make things much more clear (at least as much as any corporate press release will ever do).
LJ is not going away; certainly, it's not going to vanish overnight.
That said, make sure to back up your journals periodically. (You should do this anyway.) Information about how to do that can be found at liz_marcs's journal here. (link via scarletts_awry)
