daily good things
If scarletts_awry thinks she's winning this thing, she is sorely, sorely mistaken.
Good things for today:
gin200168 and I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific, and we saw many different fish and various marine animals, and we got to feed lorikeets! They have a Lorikeet Forest exhibit, and you can buy a cup of nectar before you go in. The birds will come right up to you and sit on your hand or your shoulder while they drink the nectar. They'll also fight each other for it; at one point I had two of them sitting on my arm at once, and one of them tried to eat my necklace. It was amazing.
I also got a mermaid figurine in the gift shop and a metal plaque with a vintage advertisement for bath soap that features a mermaid. I love them both.
And we've had fabulous sushi, and tomorrow we're going to the Getty. And I am so delighted to have this time off from work; clearly I needed that.
