The typos make me insane, too. Whenever I'm stuck someplace that has closed-captioning turned on, I can't stop myself from mentally copy-editing all the mistakes.

And thank you! I always try to capture the little nuances, but they seemed particularly important in this fic, especially. It's such a quiet, tense, intimate moment between them, and I think that Mac's normal attention to detail would be heightened even more in this kind of situation.

I've been very focused on RSRD and its fallout lately (even when moving the action two years into the future), but it's something that's really been tugging at me -- specifically, Danny and his relationship with Louie, and how the ways in which that's played out have affected (and continue to affect) all of his other relationships. That episode's also so important in terms of the Mac/Danny relationship, and I've been wanting to focus on that lately, and to try to figure out how the implications of that might play out over time. You're very right when you say that it's a different kind of tension here, as opposed to the bitterness or the way they can so easily hurt each other in very vicious ways. There's still tension, but they *are* trying to work around it, and they're even doing pretty well here.
