old women.

Yesterday I witnessed something incredible.

These old women in the main square in Cieszyn (the town I go to when I need to cross the border) were taking pictures of these two dogs humping each other and cheering the dogs on in their activity. I'm talking old women, here. Like, 70s. Like I said, incredible.

Also, the border guards almost refused to let me back into the country. Fun times.

Today I went to a quarry that is also the site of a geological fault... Garden State moment, anyone? Infinite abyss. It's in the middle of Kraków. An ancient burial mound (a common thing in the city) for King Krak is there. It also used to be the site of the Nazi work camp Płaszów. If you have seen the movie Schindler's List, you may be familiar with this place. Talk about a place where nature and history collide. It is quite beautiful and serene now. In a way, it is also quite frightening, as many beautiful things are.

It's 1:41am here. If you used time the way Europeans do, I wouldn't have had to add that little am to the end of the time. Because there is no 1:41pm. In this way, I think Europeans are superior to Americans. It just plain makes sense, don't you think? And yeah I really do think.
