"I kind of like Operation Stein Grab"
i love drinking night. i got all excited when i opened the fridge and remembered "hey, it's thursday!" then popped open a delicious beer. thursdays really make the whole earlier part of the week worthwhile.
i spent $110 in less than an hour this evening, more than half on groceries (mostly on fruit for smoothies to make in my new blender) and the rest on pillows/pillow cases & 6 hangers. i had no idea hangers were so expensive...i don't recall ever buying any before. now i have more pillows than nearly anyone on the fucking planet, but when betsy & dad gave me my bed set it had two king size pillow shams and i only had standard pillows so when i found king-size pillows for $10 a piece i had to snap those up. now i have 10 pillows, including my two body pillows, but excluding my big blue floor pillow & couch pillows. does that seem a bit excessive?? probably... i also bought a set of standard pillow cases that claimed to be made of bamboo thread because they are oh-so-soft, and my white pillow cases that match one of my sheet sets (i also have 4 sets of sheets...and two comforters...and a duvet...apparently i'm a tad obsessed with bedding) are too small for the fancy tempur-pedic pillow that dad gave me, even though it claims to be "standard" size and fits in all my other sheet-set pillow cases. perhaps that's why i got the white sheet set for $35 on clearance...but the cases were never a problem with my myriad of other pillows. wow, that was a strange collection of sidenotes.
i've been catching up on my DVR'd movies again...I watched Beerfest & The Puffy Chair yesterday, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe this evening while i made/ate dinner. I may have watched some others at some point, but i don't recall and the DVR doesn't keep track like netflix (since i delete everything after i watch it...except for "Entourage" which i keep, in case i want to watch an episode again) maybe i just watched TV shows earlier in the week, i did have a lot of those saved up between the 2-a-day What I like about yous, Weeds, Californication, some episodes of Psych and Sunday's Entourage...
i wish i had a wife who would get me cheesy bacon fries. that sounds most delicious right about now.
instead i guess i'll have some brownies and/or lemon cake and pop in my bedtime movie.
