Forgettable Faces and Eleven O'Clock Cake.

So I was doing some preparations for being packed off to boarding school (nah, it's my choice, but anywho), gumshield, pillow, shampoo, etc. today. Walking out of the sports shop (which I wouldn't have been in had I not got my braces taken off this summer and needed a new gumshield for hockey, before today I didn't even know it existed in that particular shopping centre, I feel so unfit!) we passed two boys in the doorway one of whom I was sure I recognised... Mum said "Do you know him? He was looking at you like he knew you..."

I answered "Yeah, I think so, but I can't think who he is..."

Then as we were going up the stairs I saw him in another shop and I suddenly said "I think that's him again..." I finally remembered who it was, because only Ferg would need the help of two shop assistants. Of course, by that point we were already on the escalator so I didn't get a chance to say hi...

It hasn't exactly been long since I've seen him, a month and a half? And I'm almost positive it was him. Isn't it depressing that neither of us recognised the other one enough to greet them?

And I'm not generally a forgetful person. In fact my memory's rather good...

In any case, nothing became of it. My brother's LC results -along with all the other students in the country- came out today. He got well above the threshold for the course he wants to do, so we're pleased. Mum even bought a chocolate cake, but we haven't opened it yet... my bro said he'd have it at eleven...? He's practically nocturnal... but I'll be staying up anyway because Spooks Code 9 is on at 11.20 and this'll be my only chance to watch it. Okay, it's not the greatest programme on Earth, but my friend and I have a weird thing about MI5.

So I'll join him in eleven-o'clock-cake.

...Now I want to write a story called that.

forgetfulness, faces, cake
