i'm well on my way to qualifying for this phd thing. i had my pre-exam meeting yesterday afternoon, where i presented to my committee members basically what i want to do in my fake grant, and then we talked about what's good and bad about what i've proposed to do. strangely enough, i felt pretty good after it was done. which is very different
