Another afternoon deep thought
I love infomercials. It takes a lot of strength not to order everything I see. (But I have never ordered anything because I realized most of them are scams). But there's one thing that really bothers me at the end of the infomercial. After they've doubled the product and slashed the payments, they always give the final price and say "For just $19.99 plus shipping and handling, you get ___. Send check or money order to PO box..." And they never tell you the shipping and handling charges. How are you supposed to write out and mail a check when you don't know the final cost? Do you just write a check for $19.99 and then they send you a separate bill for shipping? And with the advent of the internet, does anyone still order things through the mail?
