Dennis the Menace

I enjoy discussing the weather. I know it's the best profession for myself; therefore, I'll do whatever it takes to employ myself in the meteorology field. For now, I know I'm not a meteorologist, only majoring in it, for not, but I want to warn everyone that's potentially in danger what to expect. As of now, it looks like the southernmost counties in Alabama will be pummeled on the western side of the storm, fortunately, if there's anything fortunate about a hurricane making landfall in our area. I wish everyone the best as they prepare for the worst, or even decide to evacuate. If we so happen to be in the eye of the storm, do NOT open your doors to see the clear skies! Never open your doors during ay part of the storm unless it is certain that the house will be safe. You invite the low pressure into your house, destroying the pressure gradient between the inside and the outside, making it easier for the storm to possibly damage any piece of property. I wonder why meteorologist never tell people to do that. It's too early to figure out where exactly it will go, but no matter where it's going, preparation should be underway. Best of luck to everyone of you that will be in the path of this storm. Even those in northern alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia, and the rest of the US. After Ivan hit, it traveled up to Pennsylvania and a tornado destroyed a grocery store. Well, I guess that's it. Good night you guys, and God bless.
