I have all the respect for all the other colleges in Alabama and in the world for that matter. But I'll tell you all why South would be a perfect school when I think Troy State, Auburn, Alabama, UAB and any of the other schools are getting the credit that south deserves: 1) South Alabama's in-state tuition fee is cheap, especially if you live off-campus, but if you live campus, still pretty decent price 2) I've heard it all when it comes to who has the greatest business program in the state of Alabama, but my roommate who's from upstate New York came to South because he heard the business program was rated better than any of the other Alabama schools, I know ratings aren't that dependable, but this business program is awesome 2) along with the business program, anybody interested in the following majors: foreign language (Spanish preferred), meteorology (ninth best in the nation), teaching, medical school consisting the greatest biomedical science school in the state, engineering (guaranteed to get the maximum amount of objectives needed to master every math and physics course), physical therapy, English, and history which are the most recommended major choices at South Alabama, but from hearing and talking to upperclass and general professors from here, it will not matter what major you decide to choose. Don't think of South Alabama being a convenient location for your parents to go to because that's the last thing they want to do, and also don't think of it as being a school that's only thirty minutes away from home because if this whole campus were lifted off its foundation and were placed in a location like North Alabama or Georgia or whatever, you would probably fall in love with this campus. More and more people are arriving from distant locations to come to South Alabama. It's turning into a real college campus just like any other college ;). Also, It's much easier to get a scholarship at South Alabama than it is to get a scholarship in any other Alabama school. I had a horrible ACT score, and still got somthing.
