after watching "Julie and Julia" and really wanted to challenge myself to cooking my way through the Julia Child book ... then I thought to myself, Self, do you REALLY like French cooking? and Self said, "Not really but a buttered biscuit might me good."
As much as I love Julia Child ... and I DO .. how often does the idea of making a crown roast for dinner occur to me? What would my family REALLY eat? Do I even know how to reduce a bouleabais? boullabaise? bullabase? WTF ... where is the gravy???
SO I'm gonna dive right into something I can sink my teeth into ... cooking my way through the PAULA DEEN FAMILY COOKBOOK and blog about it! YEP ... This is more my style, from the whoopie pies to the crab cakes or sausage breakfast bake. OK so I admit there IS a recipe in this book for a Crown Roast with Stuffing but dang it, I read through the recipe and think that I could actually REALLY feed my family and not kill them with some e.coli
THIS is gonna be fun ... and I'm making it fun too ... No deadlines and I'm not going through the order either -- just for fun. Oh yah I'm making a grocery list right now ...
