and more hell
So finally SHE GETS IT.
After one helluva night with the psycho kid .... my mother comes through the kitchen this morning shaking her head. she says, "That boy just isn't right, Stef. I thought for a long time that he was just pretending his 'episodes'. But I really think there is something [points to her head] WRONG up there."
Then she recounts for me the latest episode in his bedroom.
I laughed my ass off! I said, "Yah. Remember? I was the one taking him to psych once a week for two years. I was the one who sent him to Charter Ridge. I was the one who tried to DO THE PROGRAM with Tough Love. I've known all along he has real issues."
The thing is -- I did it all alone and the kid learned that I was not authority enough to make it stick ... and SHE FINALLY GETS IT after it is too late to teach him something new?!?!?
