I've been so busy living life lately, that I hardly make time to journal about it. Tis a pity too, because some awesome-cool stuff is going on now.
I have now added the title "pedorthist" to my title when I introduce myself. It was pretty scary at first but Rob assures me that I am not lying. Now - it would be a lie if I said I was a 'board certified pedorthist' and if anyone presses me about my credentials I can clarify that point. But it seems to put people more at ease when I begin to work with them if they I am qualified to palpate their foot.
Our home office has a 10 day certification course in Atlanta and I'm looking at spring to take my test. Right now, Rob is giving us course work each week with a "quiz" on Friday. Last week was our 10-step process test. Next week? ANATOMY *shudder* There are 26 bones I have to know and I'm good their but the ligaments are giving me a hard time. I like the testing -- it's like going back to school. It's like getting a pat on the back every single week.
I got my MST3K box set in the mail yesterday - Volume 6 - So there will be much mirth making this afternoon while I enjoy "Attack of the Giant Leeches", "Teenagers from Outer Space" and my favorite western, "GunSlinger" with Beverly Garland ... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0307500/ She was on Port Charles for years before it was cancelled but she was in a lot of my favorite old B-movies like "Swamp Women" & "The Problem Girls" ... but she went on through the 80s doing tons of TV stuff.
I must get a massage today .. either from a professional or a kid. My neck/shoulder is way tense and I have a chiropractic appointment this week and it will be wasted if I can't get the muscles to relax. I think my chiropractor should hire on a massage therapist on the other room -- would that not be the most awesome?!? Go in and get a massage, get all relaxed, then get adjusted by the chiro ... it's a marraige made in heaven. It's so obvious - don't know why everyone isn't doing it.
In other news, I have a myspace now and am writing some pirate legends ... it's focusing around Captain Molly O'Malley and her crew.
