Fascinated by my new camera phone.. consumerism here we come. Hooray for the power of objects.
Why is it that when electronic companies use twist ties to keep things together it's genius and posh and expensive looking yet when martha stewart uses them in the kitchen it's just a symbol of domestic patriarchical reign. Maybe it's because the electronics ones are black.. I quite like them.. Who need staples, I'm handing my assignments in twist tied together.
It seems like everyone has given up this semester. Coasting along and knowing what we should do. And the summer just wasn't long enough? or is it that none of us really believe we'll actually obtain a career? Or have we just lost sight of the goal to which blood and sweat is a prerequisite and settled for the kegger down the street?
