Just a quick update here since I'm not supposed to be screwing around at work like I've done for an hour now... But the only thing to do is clean bathrooms and like heck I want to do that. Not until someone orders me... I kind of just want my paycheck and want to get let go already, they don't need me, the air show is over, and I want out. I made over $1000 this year with the summer job, which I know is not much but it's still more than atthe Chamber last summer and with living off the weekend wages at the Lodge, I've been ok, I came out on top even after my trip to BC so ... LET ME OUT OF THIS JOB.

The air show was weird, if you ever want to know in detail about the underworld of air show groupies and pilots partying, just ask. I had no idea. I guess ignorance is a good thing when going into something like that. I sat around as the designated driver and searched for a stick to beat the drunks ones off of me with, luckily I just pointed them in the direction of the scantily claud women looking for these men in flight suits. Who wears flight suits to the bar??? I don't know. Strangest summer job I ever had.

Reading up on Hollie's search for a new church. At least you have your sisters to go with so you don't have to walk into a brand new place by yourself and have them look at only you and think "Is she a heathen? Why did she leave her last church?" etc etc. But I can see how it's still difficult. Especially finding a good church far away, I'd give my right hand to have this one church in Calgary be close to Lethbridge, but there's no way I'm moving there just for the church. So yeah... faith with a foundation comes first and then having a church to learn and strengthen within compliments the faith. Otherwise, with the sluggishness of modern Christianity to transition into the real world so that people can identify with it, you'd kind of be screwed if church was your whole faith foundation.

But I guess these days I won't even speak much about that.

Some things are reassuring though. Told Scott I was working again on not swearing (something revived with all my work at the air show this year) and he said "well I swear" and I was like "yeah but not much, and you always give me a look when I do it" and he was like "That's because it's not in your character." ... I still have character? This is news to me and I'm thankful for it. I'm rebuilding it. I'm stronger these days, I hope, I think, either way, it's a good thing.
