RIP Cody...DJ Fjord (also 1/2 of Sound and Fury)
I am proud to call you a friend. You were trully an all around incredible person and sweetheart. You were nice to everyone you encountered and an inspiration to many. You were a very talented dj, so versatile....playing everything from old skool funk, to jungle, to Latin music. You even had a radio program each week on KRVS called The Outer Blend which usually featured drum n bass.
I still can't beleive this has happened. You were only 22 years old.
Some memories that I will always hold close to my heart....
-Watching you and Jamie throw down in P'cola this past March. Ya'll closed the night after Concord Dawn spun. I thought ya'll stole the show. I was so proud of both of you that night and was so happy I was there to support.
-Us joking about "keeping everyone in line"...lol. Even though we know that wasn't completely true ;)
-Watching you spin some funk at my birthday party at Mama Wants to Groove this past March 12th. Thanks again for helping make my 25th birthday party the most incredible night ever! I know we all had a blast!
-Eating out at La Pizzaria with you, Jamie, and Brandon. I love sitting back and talking music with you. You hold so much knowledge about music...not only in one genre either. You knew your stuff man!
-Rockin' out to you and Jamie at Club Rain during Digi's weekly he had organized. Talk about fiya! We were all rocking out to DNB in a club in Lafayette! WOW! Ya'll showed everyone in that club what was up!! I remember ya'll kept playing after the lights came on at 2am and we were all on the dancefloor rockin out harder than ever!!
-Spinning some Latin flava at Medina's birthday party at her old apartment! I remember grooving out in the bedroom while you spun.
Keep spinning those phat beatz Cody! You know we will be dancing down here for you still! Much luv. And I'll see you one day my friend.
I thank God for putting you in my life. You are trully a genuine soul.
