Im just curious what, if anything, you and your family are doing to live a "greener" life. Im always looking for ideas on new things to try! Here is what we do now

I compost! I have a special bin called a earth machine, but you really don't need anything special. But with us living in town with borough rules, I need to keep it neat out there so that's why I have the bin.
uh you saw my post on plantable tags....I don't use bows for presents either because....well you throw them away.
uh......I gave up meat entirely.
I try to shower every other day.
follow the rule, 'if its yellow let it mellow, if its brown flush it down'
we turn the lights off most of the time if we aren't using them. I never leave things on. We have all the energy saving lights and night lights.
I don't let water run continuously when brushing teeth or doing dishes...most of the time!
we have some cloth napkins. and I try to clean with towels and things before using a paper towel, just depends on the laundry situation.
we use a toaster oven most of the time to cook with, running the actual oven drives our heat bill through the roof. the toaster oven doesn't affect our electric bill.
organic when possible which isn't much in this tiny area.
and because its so small we don't have recycling programs! :(
ummm....oh and the BIGGEST thing I do which I think has the most effect on things is we cloth diaper.
oh and yeah cloth bags when I remember for grocery shopping!
In the future I hope to have a front loading washer to conserve better on water.
