TOO AWAKE TO SLEEP, TOO TIRED TO MAKE A REAL ENTRY
yep, that about sums it up. so instead i'll just post some random bits of my past few days.
sunday was my birthday party. although it was for my family, i invited my friends to come as well. in the end, though, the only one who could make it was chris. it was nice to see everyone, although i think i spent most of the time sitting next to chris and apologizing for my family. looking at them with the eyes of a stranger, they can be very troublesome sometimes... birthday presents were on the small side this year, in favor of the unobjectionable gift of money. chris got me the best present; besides the first dvd of samurai champloo, he got me a kyo kitty plushie. ^_^
i left my kyo plushie in my bunk at school though, which makes me sad. i'm sure he will be fine until sunday evening when i get back to school, but still...
tuesday was my actual birthday, i turned 20. not as exciting as you'd think. in fact, nothing really special happened, unless you count me buying myself a piece of cake from the cafeteria, and then getting a tummyache. i take that back, chris called me to wish me happy birthday, even though he had done so online at least twice. <3
wednesday my mum called to wish me happy birthday, turns out she wasn't feeling well the night before and fell asleep before i was done with classes for the day, not that hard to do, since i don't get back to my room until 9:00pm usually. i felt bad for making such a fuss the night before to chris over her not calling, i should have known it was something like that.
also on wednesday, my wig arrived, though i didn't know that until today. about 6 weeks ago i ordered a custom-made wig to go with my mana costume, and it arrived, as promised, with more than enough time to spare, for saturday's halloween party. when i first opened the box and took out the wig, i was slightly disappointed, it wasn't quite how i pictured it. for one thing, considerably more time was spent making the front look perfect than the back. on the other hand, the only reference photo i had to give the wigmaker was from the front, and she recaptured that beautifully. after i put on the wig, though, and then the costume with it, i fell in love with it, and am now quite satisfied. also, i forgot to note, the wigmaker sent (for free!) 2 red hello kitty pony tail holders, 2 plastic cross barrettes, and a sample of body glitter. yay for free presents!
also today, i won an ebay auction for a pair of jeans in the brand, style, and fit i like, in the black finish that they don't offer anymore. i'm looking forward to having new pants.
i think that's about it for now. i'm feeling kind of sore and achy, as i have been for the past few days. i keep hoping that a good night's sleep will refresh me, and while it does, for awhile, by the end of the evening i am achy again. *sigh* don't know what is up, but i hope it goes away soon.
