Tour de Cupcake

Doublejack Did a great job of describing Tour de Cupcake...

He is right, it was an utter and complete blast - even without getting to gorge on cupcakes. I was pleased with my spiral route - but due to being the perpetual space cadet, I just missed making a left turn on Union from Polk...because I spaced out!!! and we lost a little time.

Doublejack posted the map, but here are some more deets on the goofy where-to-hows:
1. Started at 9th and Mission
2. Rode to main branch SF public Library - got a clue - (What comes up on the data base when you search "Cupcake")
3. then to Fillmore and Union - clue (A business card from a cup-cakery on Union)...the cup cakery was actually closer to Scott than Fillmore...
4. Then to Fort Mason- We got a cupcake there , got our manifest signed
5. Giant bow and arrow on Embarcadero - out of cupcakes - frosting shot...I declined. The frosting shot involved opening your mouth and having a nice girl squeeze some frosting out of a pastry bag into your mouth. Too disgusting.
6. 4th and Bryant - Citizen cupcake for a clue (Who is the pastry chef?)
7. Trader Joe's - annoy customoers, find a clue (What is the special ingredient in TJ's vanilla cake mix?-Madagascar Bourban vanilla)apparently TJ's complained to Bike Kitchen about us...losers!
8. Park at 17th and Wisconsin - out of cupcakes :-(
9. Park at up State Street off of Castro - out of cupcakes. I tried to negotiate for an extra point there because I pedaled the whole way up the hill. I saw pretty much everyone else walking their bikes.
10.Panhandle at Fell and Masonic - there would have been vegan cupcakes
Ian introduced himself to me 'cause I was sportin MC colors - he is a new member of Mission Cycle Club
11. Alamo Square park - you had to carry your bike up the last steps on Scott

848 Divisadero - for free beers and feelin' old next to all the youngsters.

Any kind of bike was appropriate...but you do want to be in a modicum of shape...I would love to see a showing of Fandangans (if they didn't just stop at a bar)...and I think FU URNS and Ladymissruby especially would enjoy the likes of Tour de Cupcake in the future.
