Hey everyone,
Just a little update to let you know I’m doing all right. I’ve survived my first two exams, finished my first paper, and am currently studying hard for the upcoming five exams and two papers. Tempus fugit - I’ve got less than a month left in Cork. I’m looking forward to going home, especially because it’ll be close to Christmas & New Year’s Eve, and I absolutely love the Winter Holidays.
What have I been doing the past few weeks, besides studying? Loads of things, really. Many dinners with friends, exploring Cork’s many pubs and clubs, seeing Casino Royale in the cinema (I actually really loved this film - hadn’t expected it, because I’m not a big Bond fan per se, but it was absolutely brilliant), and much more.
I miss you guys and I wish I could be with you, if only to hug you tightly and never let you go. It’s so much easier to share losses when you’re with others. Luckily enough, my newfound friends here have been absolutely great the past weeks. They’ve offered me plenty of distractions, and a listening ear/warm shoulder to cry on whenever needed. I went to Cork for the studies and the country, but I found so much more, and I’m really grateful for that.
