Yuk!!

I'm so sick of the snow!!!!!  It would be one thing if there were no hills, and if they plowed/sanded/de-iced more of the roads around here....but we just don't get this kind of weather very often, so no one is ever prepared for it.  Needless to say, most people don't think that driving in this crap is worth it, especially for something as minor as getting their hair cut or colored.  So my clients have been canceling left and right.  I only live about a mile from work, so I could still get there if necessary.  But there's no point when I don't have clients.  Needless to say, I'm tired of not getting paid due to the crappy weather we've had this year.  Between snow in November, a flood, power outages, and now more snow/ice, it's been a good week's worth of pay that I'm without.  Not fun.

I must admit, it's nice to look at.  I will definitely say that.  It's very pretty.  I'm going to throw a few pictures in here of the snow man that we (really, Greg) built last week.  And it's still out in our front yard.  My husband is pretty funny, and definitely creative when the mood strikes him.  He named his snowman 'Paco'.  Pretty funny....And notice that he has his 'Cuervo' hat on as well....oh my!  ;)

In other news, we get to leave here to go to another cold, snowy place on Thursday morning.  We have some business to take care of in Denver, so we're leaving Thurs morning and coming home on Sunday night.  I'm hoping that the weather starts to warm up a bit there, too (last week it was -10 degrees).  Let me just say, after this winter is over, I'm going to be thrilled for spring and summer to get here (I'm already counting down the days!).  :)

Okay, I've been quite a Debbie Downer here today.  Things really aren't that bad; it's just been frustrating.  In good news, I had 6 of my high school girlfriends over for dinner last night.  It was soooo great to see them all.  One has been going to school in Florida, and she's been here for the holidays on her way to moving to Boise.  She just graduated from her masters program, so our dinner was a bit of a celebratory event for her.  We try to get together for dinner once a month or so, but it was special to have her here this time.  I wish I would have taken a picture of all of us together.  Oh well!

Okay, I should get off my butt and get something done while I have this time at home.  Hope all of you local ladies are staying warm and safe!
