I went to San Anton yesterday to see the King and the Heat battling the local boys; not a good game. Spulstra decided to not play LeBron and Wade and it felt to me like he was playing mind games with Pop, which totally deflated the energy. Pop did no play Ginobilli so, there was lots of talent missing in action.
Lots of Miami fans in the house, which was a surprise; they were quite loud during the game. Lots of folks wearing other teams regalia (mostly the Lakers).I had to leave my camera at the guest room so I do not have any good photos to show. Still, as you probably know, it all went down to the last shot (the last few shots in fact - San Anton made, Miami made, SA missed was the sequence, iirc) and the Heat prevailed. But, until the last q (mabe the last few minutes), the game did not have playoff level intensity and energy.
Still, a good experience... but mostly because of a great conversation with my buddy, Jeff (also a philosopher). We were mostly talking about philosophy and poetry as I am writing a paper on just this topic -- "Poetry as a Form of Philosophical Expression", to be presented at the conference in about 2 weeks.
