Patriots baby!
Well, their first pre-season game was yesterday, which the Patriots won 23-13. Brady wasen't in the game, and their rookie QB Mat Cassel did a superb job for his first ever NFL experiance. The game was pretty good. I do, however, miss Bruschi's romping all over the field tackling any opponent who has the ball and slamming him to teh ground... I hope Bruschi gets better and I can see him on the gridiron next season. The linebackers seemed alright for now, Beisel seems to be quite a hitter. Our corners are totally making up for last year. We had the worst cornerbacking corps in the whole league, we now have the best. Duane Starks, Chad Brown, Asaunte Samuel, Ellis Hobbs, Randall Gay, oh yeah, our corners are great. They will fill in the void the linebackers left with the leaving of Tedy Bruschi and Ted Johnson. The corners will be the heart and soul of our defense this year. Davey SUCKS!!! I know I have been saying that since last season, but Davey does suck and should be released. Cassel has starter potential in a few more seasons. The offense seems pretty good seeing how it was only backups that played yesterday. We will see how good their team is up against the Saints on the 18th at Gillege Stadium.
