You can tell when you've become old and jaded when watching a tv program and after 2 seasons the unrequited love is finally requited, instead of cheering you feel gut wrenching sadness because you know how its going to pan out.
You know because its not a comdey its not gonna turn out like ross and rachel. Its going to be like real life, you see the signs; the previous rejections, the blatant lack of interest and one moment of weakness and he'll be crushed.
You know you're jaded when you admire unrequited love because it is never rejected, never reciprocated either, but better not to know than know for sure it isn't real.
