Man, that is horror all right--my skin and kind of the inside of my brain started crawling just about the point at which I also realized Sam was hallucinating.

Ow. Very ow.

Must say, I'm grateful this mostly isn't the type of horror that show does, because I wouldn't be able to watch it. (But you do it very well, and this is just about the perfectly-sized dose.)

Give me all the crazy MoC amputation fics! <333 This was amazing.
I really loved Sam's confused POV and how the horror just kept building up. My favourite bit was the part where Sam noticed that the pot of soup is cold because he never turned on the gas. Such a powerful image.

Ohhh so dark and raw - I loved it!

You really captured Sam's confused point of view so well, and the horror and gore of the end section was handled and balanced perfectly.

(I feel bad saying that I enjoyed MoC amputation fic - but I really did, and you completely sold it to me!)

Apologies in advance for this lame comment, but I did want to note before I got too behind the times that I ALSO love this. <333 The payoff of that last scene is epic, and I love the way food and meals function in this, and the way that plays off what Sam sees of Dean's arm, and flirts with the grotesque proximity of those images/those contaminations. Comfort/uncomfortable food is THE BEST!!
