i have neither the brainpower nor the time to say everything i really wanna say about the ep but in short:

• it's been a long time since i've felt surging love towards dean as much as i did last night <3
• was anyone else feeling the "bloody mary" vibes hardcore?? i seriously felt like i was watching early s1, just with bigger winchesters. and, you know. wifi
• and it was beautiFUL
• UGH MY KINGDOM FOR THIRTY MINUTES TO WRITE OUT ALL MY FEELINGS ABOUT TECH/INTERNET-BASED HORROR BUT I DO NOT HAVE THEM
• UH i really love tech horror by which i mean it really scares me and that is a RARITY. last night, like, the power cord strangulation, not so much. but the eerie chat message from the hacked account, yeah. YEAH. the computer going on and off by itself, the black screen with the 810. it gets to you, especially when you're of the internet generation. when the internet starts acting strange and malicious it's a unique kind of panic. and i think internet horror is the modern incarnation of our inborn fear of anonymity--what makes things "creepy" (this vsauce video explains it better than i can.) tl;dr the internet is to our generation what halloween masks and facial obscurity were (and are) to everyone before us
