Writing is hard
I figure the only way I'm ever going to start writing in this thing is by, well, starting.
This is actually really, really scary for me. Nine years of lurking in fandom and I've never actually contributed anything to the Internet at all. A few comments, and that is it. I like the Internet! What if I break it?
So, um: Today I spend six and a half hours writing about fifty words. I'm trying to cut down my honours thesis (9000 words) into a publishable paper (4000 words). I don't really recommend the experience. Especially because I haven't written anything for about five months, so the whole brain-to-keyboard hookup isn't working so well. Possibly I should post here lots as some sort of writing exercise. Because getting further entrenched in the Internet is totally going to help my academic career, right?
